The City of Vacaville is accepting applications for the position of Senior Equipment Mechanic in our Public Works Department. Currently we have one (1) vacancy and this recruitment will serve to establish an eligibility list that may be used to fill additional vacancies that could occur over the next 12-month period.
The Senior Equipment Mechanic is responsible for tune-ups, service and making minor and major mechanical repairs to firefighting apparatus and equipment; gasoline, CNG, diesel, and electric-powered automobiles, trucks, buses, emergency vehicles; and construction, turf and maintenance equipment. This classification exercises lead worker responsibilities.
