E-ONE Announces Seven Finalists for Fire Truck Give-Away Contest
03.30.09 Ocala, Fla.
Ocala, FL, (March 30, 2009) – E-ONE was overwhelmed not only by the number of entries but by the stories of heroism, tragedy and compelling need submitted by departments across the nation for a chance to win a new Tradition ES pumper in its ‘Tell Us Your Story’ contest.
“Reading these entries, it’s obvious there is a great need for fire apparatus throughout the nation, we will be honored to be able to present one of these departments with a new Tradition ES pumper,” said Peter Guile, president of E-ONE. “We would like to thank everyone who sent in their story, and good luck to the seven finalists.”
E-ONE is pleased to announce the following seven departments as finalists in the contest:
– Butte Falls Volunteer Fire Department (Jackson County, Oregon)
– Five Points Volunteer Fire Department (Washington County, Florida)
– Gallatin Sunnyside Volunteer Fire Department (Allegheny County, Pennsylvania)
– Hines Volunteer Fire Department (Hines, Oregon)
– Oneida Volunteer Fire Department (Clay County, Kentucky)
– Powellsville Volunteer Fire Department (Powellsville, North Carolina)
– Weaverville Fire Department (Weaverville, California)

The winning department will now be chosen by you, the men and women of the fire service. Log on to www.E-ONE.com to read the seven finalists’ entries and VOTE for the department you feel deserves to win the new Tradition ES pumper. Voting ends at 1:00 p.m. on April 24th, 2009. Then join us as we announce the winner and present that department with their new Tradition ES pumper at 3:00 p.m. on the FDIC show floor in E-ONE’s booth – #9104 Lucas Oil Stadium.

California Fire Mechanics Academy – 2009
TrainingsThe California Fire Mechanics Academy, Inc., in conjunction with the California Fire Chiefs Association, American River College Sacramento Regional Public Safety Training Center, Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, and the Roseville Fire Department is pleased to announce the 39th annual fire mechanics academy
program. There are several new and exciting classes being offered this year including classes designed specifically for firefighters, engineers and officers wanting to know more about the apparatus they are responsible for. The academy classes will once again be held at McClellan Business Park located in Sacramento, California. This converted former Air Force base provides the academy with the classrooms, shops and open spaces required to present the best possible program to our students.
